Visiting hours

Visiting hours are dependent on the operations within each TQEH ward, with variations to requirements across the facility.

Generally, visiting hours are 10.30 am to 8.30 pm across all wards, apart from the Intensive Care Unit, who have differing requirements to the rest of the hospital.

For advice on visiting times ask the staff in the ward you are visiting or phone our switchboard and ask to be put through to the ward or unit you want to visit. 

Visitor guidelines

No smoking and vaping

Smoking and vaping is not permitted on the grounds of The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

This applies to all buildings, vehicles, car parks and outdoor areas on the TQEH site.

Bringing animals to hospital

Assistance dogs, therapy dogs and companion animals are also welcome at TQEH.
