The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH) is committed to helping you communicate with our staff so you can make informed decisions about your healthcare.

TQEH offers interpreting services for patients in more than 140 languages. Highly qualified professional interpreters provide services to facilitate communication between you and your treatment team, in person or over the phone.
Auslan (Australian sign language) interpreters are also available for patients with a hearing impairment.
While you are welcome to bring your partner, relative, or friend to your appointments for support, we ask that you do not use them as interpreters. Trained interpreters are here to ensure you understand the medical information discussed with you, respecting your need for accurate and professional communication.
All interpreting and cultural support services are provided free of charge.
Access Hub: Helping you connect
Access Hub is a national service providing information and services to help people who are d/Deaf, hard of hearing or have a speech communication difficulty, to make a phone call or connect online.
You can access and learn about the National Relay Service here, as well as other ways to connect.
