The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH) is designed to ensure people with disabilities can easily navigate and access facilities around the hospital.

The hospital design incorporates a combination of sensory aids and visual tools to assist people with a disability to navigate their way into and around the facility.
Hospital staff and volunteers are also available to provide directions.
checkViewport(), 100)"> Accessible changing facilities and toilets
The ground floor of the Kangkanthi building houses an adult-accessible changing facility, Changing Places.
Changing Places facilities are larger than standard accessible toilets, with extra features and more space to meet the needs of people with disabilities and their carers.
The Changing Places facility includes:
- a height-adjustable adult-sized change table
- a constant-charging ceiling track hoist system
- a centrally-located peninsula toilet
- more circulation space than standard accessible toilets
- an automatic door with a clear opening
- a privacy screen.
Access Hub: Helping you connect
Access Hub is a national service providing information and services to help people who are d/Deaf, hard of hearing or have a speech communication difficulty, to make a phone call or connect online.

checkViewport(), 100)"> Accessible parking
Accessible parking spaces on the grounds of TQEH include:
- The multi-deck car park, accessed via Gate 5, includes 70 accessible spaces. Regular fees apply.
- Twelve disability parking spaces, free for one hour, are available in the short-term car park, accessed via Gate 2.
- Nine disability parks, free for four hours, are at the rear of the Allied Health building, accessed via Curtis Street.
Permit holders must display their disability parking permit at all times when parking in these locations.
For those with a state government-issued disability parking permit, parking is allowed for double the usual time before penalties apply. Parking without a permit may result in penalties.

Patient drop-off and pick-up zones on the grounds of TQEH:
- Emergency department entrance via Gate 2, off Woodville Road
- Main entrance of the hospital via Gate 2, off Woodville Road
- Allied Health building entrance via Curtis Street
- BRIGHT Woodville entrance via Gate 5, off Woodville Road.
These areas are for patient pick-up and set-down only, not for long-term parking.
Do you need a wheelchair?
The transport assistance team can bring you a wheelchair to make sure you can get into your facility easily and safely from the carpark.
